If I am here for me and mine, then I stand in a narrow place.
I might feel secure and know the borders. I can measure out the capacity of my day and have enough left.
But if I am here for you, and for others I encounter along the way, then I stand in a broad place.
With vulnerability and the potential to be misunderstood or ignored. And the likelihood that I will expend more than I think I have. But with meaning that is bigger than myself.
The amazing thing is that we always grow in the stretching.
