What do you see now?

I noticed this unfurled catkin displaying its flower cluster in the defused sunlight late yesterday afternoon.

It prompted reflections about what else I was seeing.

I notice that people appear to have less time and capacity to ponder significant questions. That time feels like it is speeding up, and our gaze is much shorter term.

Is this displaced anxiety about the state of the world? A reaction to feeling helplessly out of control?

Or maybe we’ve slotted back into the familiar groove because fighting against ‘the way things are done around here’ takes too much effort. And we’re tired.

Perhaps is it something completely different.

I wonder, what are you seeing?
