Why do we find it so difficult to ask?
Whether this is asking for help, for someone to do something for us, for information or advice. Or to be listened to, and be taken seriously (or not so seriously).
We struggle. Or at least I struggle.
But isn’t this so stupid! What it actually says is that either we can do it on our own, or we’re not worth much. And the consequence is a lost opportunity to build something bigger than ourselves. Every time.
I don’t think the answer is hours of practice in front of the mirror… Rather it’s to intentionally be around people who do us good by their presence.
Here we can own our vulnerability and let down our guard.
And ask. And ask again.
