Ripples of love – a midweek Pause for Peace

We are familiar with the searing images of war and violence, which are now a daily occurrence.

Yet perhaps we don’t see the ripples of hate and division that spread worldwide as a result—amplifying tensions that are already there below the surface.

We are all affected. And our desire for peace has to start here, with us.

So today, I want to pause with a well-known piece about love:

Love is patient;
Love is kind;
Love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude.
It does not insist on its own way;
It is not irritable or resentful;
It does not rejoice in wrongdoing,
But rejoices in the truth.
It bears all things,
Believes all things,
Hopes all things,
Endures all things.

Love never ends.

+ From the first letter to the Corinthian church

… and let it speak to the ripples I want to create as I pause for peace.
