Pause. See differently. Re-story…
This way of practising transformation emerged from my work with quiet disruptors and my fascination with how we could create change without shouting.
Initially framed as The Art of Quiet Disruption, I soon realised that this was too small…
So I started using it to navigate change, and only later did I make the connection to the practice of active contemplation and how we ‘become in company’…
Practical Contemplation
- Pause. See differently. Re-story… shapes virtually everything I do: from writing and poetry, to speaking and individual conversations. It arises from a deep desire for each of us to engage more intentionally in the journey of becoming, not as an end in itself but as a way for us to be more fully alive and live more adaptively and generously in a world that needs more hope and humanity.
- Pause. See differently. Re-story… is a practice, and I love sharing it with people who want to become the change they want to see and to enable others to do so, too, through their work.
- Pause. See differently. Re-story… is what I offer with fresh sight from the quiet edge. This aligns with the Enneagram training I am doing with Awareness to Action International, builds on my particular strengths and personality and increasingly informs the one-to-one conversations I have with people navigating life and leading, particularly at points of transition.
My grounding for this practice includes decades of pioneering senior leadership, professional coaching with a strong Gestalt foundation, the practice of thinking deeply as a contemplative writer and poet, and more recent work with the Enneagram as a dynamic model of personality.
Practical Contemplation is part of Waterside Voices ~ wild hope and a few good words.
