Please don’t settle for grey

We need fresh voices.

Those who will ‘live like a poet’, in the words of Satish Kumah.

Who will sow seeds of wild hope in beautiful words and won’t settle for sorry versions of sameness.

And will take every opportunity to be present with life.

Because the time is now.

Don’t settle for a pale copy of reality –
scratching your life on tracing paper
instead of splashing your own colours
upon the expectant canvas of the world.

Don’t settle for a blurred vision of existence –
hyperventilating among the tangle of your busyness
instead of slowly, deeply inhaling
the limitless miracle of now.

Let’s go.

Pause. See differently. Re-story…
