Bernadette Jiwa wrote a delightful short piece at the beginning of the week: One way or another.
Her experience of growing up in Dublin and her first job gave encouragement to the rest of us to keep going.
Cycling home each day, the worst part was the last hill. And Bernadette‘s frustration at the waste of time when in icy conditions she needed to get off and walk.
Beaten by the hill.
But in fact, it was only a matter of minutes and the loss of some patience. Because she still reached her destination all the same.
And we will get there in the end, even if it takes a little longer.
So let’s name our hill. Let’s see it for what it is.
And then keep going, being patient with ourselves. Knowing that we will reach our destination.
