Letting go for now

We’re not sure when they left. We didn’t see them go. But yesterday, the younger Canadian Geese family took the flight out of the valley.

This place that was their first nesting and nurturing ground is now too small.

They need to follow their instincts to someplace else. At least for the winter.

We will see them again, perhaps for a fly-through and probably to breed next Spring.

Yet, they will have changed. They are no longer the first-timers who were learning as they went.

Next time will be different.

Pause. See differently. Re-story 🌿
