When we have only one view of what might happen or a single perspective on who we are, then we live in a narrow space.
We are fragile and brittle and have no room to bend and breathe.
Instead, we can grow into a more spacious space if we are open to possibility. And even more, if we believe there are possibilities, plural.
Yet I wonder how many of us have unconsciously absorbed the idea that to be safe we have to be in control? That not knowing is risky and leads to failure. After all, it’s on the test-paper of life.
But is it?
I suspect that stepping off the tightrope we’ve thought was the only way, will reveal that it was merely a centimetre off the ground. And venturing into some unknowns offers the possibility of possibilities.
