We think we see reality when perhaps we only observe what we expect.
And the stories we tell ourselves become amplified, and our role in them is firm and secure.
Until they aren’t, and the world is no longer what we thought.
Yet we have this opportunity to see with fresh eyes.
If we are open to hearing other stories, not always the ones we want, but those that help us inhabit the here. And the now.
Welcome friend.
We have work to do.

This week, the thread of place, connections, and calling has been very present. I have found it uncomfortably challenging yet necessary travail. Because without doing the work on why we are here, we might be mere spectators. And given the cost that others are bearing, that would be a waste.
Humans have a responsibility to find themselves where they are, in their own proper time and place, in the history to which they belong and to which they must inevitably contribute either their response or their evasions, either truth and act, or mere slogan and gesture.
