Imagining dancing in the liminal space grew out of my recent musings on flow and thresholds. And what it means to be present.
However, the image also raised the question of whether this is just an ‘in the moment response’.
While the answer is more nuanced than a simple yes or no, there is a better response than maybe.
We can only ‘go with the flow’ in dancing if we are open to using our whole being and are prepared to be attentive to the rhythm.
Both of these are decisions which need to be made on the threshold. They prepare us to enter the unknown space where we cannot know everything but are ready to embrace the flow.
And yes that includes ‘Dad Dancing’ – because it’s not about being perfect, but being prepared to step out.
What a wonderful invitation!
