Do you need a mid-something pause?

Walking in the valley this morning, I was struck by the inexorable passage of autumn.

Yes, that means running in semi-dark and always going out with wellies (gumboots if you’re not from the UK).

And as I paused to observe the light rain collecting on yellowing leaves across a damp landscape, I realised I was having a pause moment.

A pause to reorientate, creating space to make sense of where we are right now.

An opportunity to gather the threads together and decide what to weave next.

If we don’t step back and see where we are more clearly in a bigger context, then we assume we are on a path that leads to somewhere.

When we may be needing to prepare for a shift in direction.

What is your pause right now?

Is it mid-season, or mid-life?
