Building on the moments of memory

Once upon a time…

… this part of Wales was underwater.

A sea, where sediment settled on the bottom.

And sometimes, when conditions were turbulent, waves of sediment would form.

In time, the seabed became rock and eventually created the sandstone strata that formed the hills here.

Water shaped the valleys, and recent storms upended some of our streambed rocks.

Becoming starts with once upon a time. It didn’t just happen yesterday.

It’s good to remember, even the turbulent memories because they are part of who we are becoming.
